GUI Designer Cap
Our GUI Designer Cap brings intentional design to a wardrobe staple. Every detail—from the structured six-panel crown to the tonal embroidered logo—reflects our commitment to understated quality.
We built this cap for designers, developers, and anyone who values clean lines and functional style. The adjustable strap fits head circumferences from 21.5 to 24 inches, while the pre-curved brim offers sun protection without compromising your field of view.
This isn’t seasonal headwear. We chose materials and construction methods that age well, so the gui you wear today looks even better six months from now.
- Six-panel structured crown with reinforced front panels
- 100% heavyweight cotton twill, garment-washed for immediate softness
- Tonal embroidered GUI logo on center front panel
- Pre-curved brim with eight rows of stitching
- Adjustable metal slide buckle with tonal finish
Fabric & Garment-Wash Process

We source 100% cotton twill at 280gsm—heavier than most fashion caps but lighter than workwear. This weight gives the GUI Designer Cap structure that holds its shape while remaining soft enough for all-day wear.
Every cap undergoes our garment-wash process before it reaches you. We tumble-wash each finished piece to relax the fibers, soften the hand feel, and set the color. This means there’s no break-in period—the gui fits comfortably from the first wear.
Adjustable Fit & Sizing

Metal Slide Buckle Closure
The GUI Designer Cap uses a low-profile metal slide buckle rather than plastic snapback hardware. We chose this closure for its durability and the cleaner aesthetic it provides at the back of the cap.
The adjustable strap accommodates head circumferences from 21.5 to 24 inches. To find your size, measure around your head approximately one inch above your eyebrows, keeping the tape level across the back.
Care & Maintenance Instructions

We recommend spot-cleaning the GUI Designer Cap with a damp cloth and mild detergent for most dirt and stains. Focus on the sweatband area, where oils and perspiration accumulate.
For deeper cleaning, hand-wash in cool water with a gentle detergent. Reshape the crown while damp and air-dry on a rounded form—a melon, inflated balloon, or cap form works well. Avoid machine washing and machine drying, which can shrink the cotton and distort the structured panels.

GUI Designer Cap Questions & Answers
The cap is garment-washed before shipping, which pre-shrinks the cotton and stabilizes the fabric. If you follow our hand-wash and air-dry instructions, you should see minimal to no additional shrinkage.
Machine washing and machine drying can cause the cotton to shrink and may distort the structured crown panels. We recommend spot-cleaning for routine maintenance and hand-washing only when necessary.
The GUI Designer Cap features a structured six-panel crown with reinforced front panels that hold their shape. The Dad Cap has an unstructured soft crown that relaxes and conforms to your head.
Both use the same 280gsm cotton twill and garment-wash process, so the difference is purely in crown construction. Choose the Designer Cap if you prefer a cleaner silhouette, or the Dad Cap if you want a more relaxed fit.
Use a flexible measuring tape and wrap it around your head about one inch above your eyebrows. Keep the tape level—it should pass above your ears and across the widest part of the back of your head.
The GUI Designer Cap adjusts from 21.5 to 24 inches (54.6–61 cm). Most adults fall within this range. If your measurement is near the minimum or maximum, consider how you prefer your caps to fit—snug or with a bit of room.
We don’t recommend machine washing the GUI Designer Cap. The agitation can distort the structured panels and cause uneven shrinkage in the cotton twill.
For deep cleaning, hand-wash in cool water with a gentle detergent. Submerge the cap and gently agitate by hand, paying extra attention to the sweatband area. Rinse thoroughly, reshape the crown while damp, and air-dry on a rounded form.
The GUI logo is embroidered with a low-profile technique that sits nearly flush with the fabric surface. You can feel a slight texture if you run your finger over it, but it doesn’t create the raised, puffy look of traditional embroidery.
This approach reduces the visual weight of the branding and creates a more refined finish. The tonal thread color reinforces the subtle aesthetic.
The slide buckle is made from zinc alloy with a powder-coat finish that resists corrosion. We’ve tested the hardware in high-humidity and saltwater environments without seeing rust develop.
If you wear the gui in saltwater conditions, rinse the buckle with fresh water afterward and let it air-dry completely. Normal perspiration won’t affect the finish.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unworn, undamaged items in original packaging. The cap must include the dust bag and care card.
If you’ve worn the gui and discovered a fit issue, contact our team. We evaluate returns on a case-by-case basis, especially for sizing concerns. Our goal is to make sure you’re satisfied with your purchase.
